Yes, kinda remember, as I spent a lot of time with it, but on the
other...................Does it have the distortion thing, kinda looks
like a cropper, but when on a selection or whole thing, selected, it
can move in 1px increments, and if not, well, would you like to move
up, call me.

After making the selection, use the arrow keys. Shift or Crtl + arrow
moves 1 pixel, Ctrl + Shift + arrow moves 10 pixels. Or double click the
Deformation Tool and you can enter X and Y coordinates.
Also if you zoom right in you will probably be able to move it where you
want by dragging the selection using either the Mover or Deformation
Tools.

| By doing this I have moved the selected area and moved it's contents. I want
to move up a little for another selected area just a hit above where I just
made a selection. I don't want to move the stuff I selected just move the
place where I have selected. Sorry if I didn't explain that well!
Thanks for any assistance, Paul

We often confuse the contents with the container when it comes to
selections. To move just the container, drag with the Move tool and
the right mouse button. Or switch to Edit Selection mode and move
the selection, then switch back.

You can not with 6 Easy with 9 or X but If you make your selection by
dragging out a Pre set vector shape with a fill only no stroke. You can then
having positioned and sized as you want do selections from vector object
delete the vector layer and you now have your selection just where you want

There is at least one area in which your hypothesis fails. You're also
here day in and day out, but you know so very little.

| Thanks trev. That worked! I hope it will when I try it the way I wanted with
something saved to a alpha channel. Fred when I right clicked with the
selection too. My selection disappeared. (at least in PSP6) Yes it's old. I
received an email saying that PSPX could be purchased for something like
44?? Can't be right. If so, I'll do that. Not in a hurry to learn a whole
new program though :O/
What I don't get is what uni does......except have too much time to XXXXX
here? Certainly there has to be better things to do than just sit and point
out others wrong doings.....at least in your view.

Sorry, guys. I must learn to take the time to read these posts for
comprehension.

You'll need to swap to the Mover tool first.

He's a sad case. His combination of malice and profound ignorance have
transformed him into a pathetic, whining pest.

It's only in your mind that this one forum is taken as an indicator of
the popularity of PSP... perhaps because the many more active groups
elsewhere, won't let you in.
It's also only in your mind that people are supposed to use only one
software tool, and to support or malign it with the single mindedness of
partisan politics or sports fanatics.
It's only in your mind that the disagreement that led you to adopt your
current attitude, would've been viewed with such paranoia and such a
willingness to take offence.
And only in your mind, having contrived to be offended by such a trivial
matter, would the slight be allowed to fester year after year instead of
being shrugged off long ago.

I'd take a Volkswagen Phaeton W12 over a Cadillac any day. But as I'm
not in the USA it's not an option... very few other places in the world
have any demand for automotive dinosaurs like Cadillacs, so they're
simply not sold in most places. The way General Motors is going it seems
the demand for traditional large, bland and technologically backward
American cars is on the decline in their home market as well.

Tim, I guess we diverge a little here. You credit Uni with a mind where I
credit him with sort of a dim feeble consciousness somewhat on the order of
a domestic turkey.

I read the other part, on updating, and you don't need 10, 8 would be
just fine. I use it, and am able to do anything, anyone could or would
do in psp.
