Repeatble Bug trying to save jpg
|

| I am working with PSP 9 and when I use red eye removal and create a
duplicate, then erase some background to make sure the eye looks right, I
cannot save the file, and the error message is:
An Error Has Occurred While Trying to Write to the File
This is very repeatable.
Suggestions?

Maybe I'm not following the same steps as you, but I have no
problem. Open image, duplicate background layer. Red Eye removal
on the top (duplicate) layer to correct red eye and click OK.
Eraser too and erase some of excessive red eye correction from
duplicate layer. File>Save As and save file. Worked for me
saving as both tif and jpg.
Are you using version 9 or 9.01 (i.e., have you installed the
patches?). I just use version 9 without the patches.

See my reply to your identical post in the Corel PSP 9 newsgroup.

| Is this with the same file it's repeatable or with other image files as well
.. . . what about "Save As" and then use a different file name . . . the
reason I'm asking is that I wonder if the file you are working with is
marked "Read Only."

| I am using 9.01. You outlined my step by step process exactly and about 1/2
the time I get the error message and lose my work.

| Different files and they are not read only. I have tried save as and that
does not seem to make a difference.
Thanks
