try as i might, i can't recall or find the correct place to do the
following:

i develop as many as 100 files daily and want to save them at the end
of the work day as a ".gif" file. in the past (other versions of PSP),
i could do this. but in PSPx, the help file isn't very helpful.

can someone gently guide me how to do this? Thanks in advance for
genuine help

Save or save as and select gif from the drop down list of file formats, but
better still is File export gif optimizer and if you customize the workspace
you can drag the gif optimizer on to the toll bar. Nothing much has changed
in saving images in any PSP

Further to what Trev writes, perhaps you are thinking of File >

check "Re-use last type in file save-as dialog."
