I want to create a simple, pixel-by-pixel image, similar to the
attachment. (different color in each pixel). I'm new at Paint Shop
Pro, and I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Is there a
tutorial anywhere what would help, or any hints?

Thanks,

this is a non binary group and my news server and a lot more will
automatically remove your image from the post.
I would suggest you post to the corel paintshop pro groups at
cnews.corel.com Though you may have to create another instance of Agent as
I dont believe its good at handling multiple servers.

Now for the guess work as I dont know what your example looked like but if
it's a chequered grid that you want start with a 2 x 2 pixel new image fill
top left and bottom right with a 1 pixel brush with colour 1 and the other
two pixels with colour two you can now use that as a flood fill pattern ( it
will be the first pattern in the all patterns list )
