Gif Optimizer - Animation Shop

| I'm having a XXXXX of a time trying to save my animated gif with the same or near the same good quality.
The Gif optimizer decreases the quality of the graphic quite a bit!
Inside are some facial structures... not a photograph of a real person's face... but graphic wise... it almost looks
real... and the gif optimizer really decreases the reality of it.
Any settings anyone can help me with that may help to make it nice or darn near as nice as it is BEFORE I run the gif
optimizer.
I feel like I've tried everything... and I also don't seem to have a choice to run the gif optimizer or not when I save
my animated image.
I'm sending this now while my net connection holds up.

| If not...
What's another good animation proggy?
I thought I knew my way around AS quite a bit...
but it's been a while.
I thought I used to be able to save animations/gifs
without having to use the optimizer, but it doesn't
look like it.

Have you pressed the custum button and are you reducing the colours too far

| Here are the basic settings
Quality vs Size : Bar is at Better Image Quality
Customize: 255 colors
I feel like I've changed and gone through every setting
there is to change in the Customize section
of optimizing....
Maybe I'm just SOL

I usually create a colour palette for the animation, and use that. If the
individual frames look fine with that palette, then the animation will also
look fine.
