PSPA 5 shutting down after error code
|
|
|
| Can anyone help me sort out this problem (I hope this isn't OT)?
When I open my copy of Pspa5, I get the splash screen then a error
message:
'Pspa has caused an error in MSADRH15.DLL. Pspa will now close.'
I have tried re-starting to clear the problem, but it keeps on
happening. I had PSPA4 and upgraded a couple of months ago via
download. I had touble-free use of this application until now.
Many thanks

Msadrh15.dll is an ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) Rowset Helper.
You didn't say what operating system.
Try asking at a MS group for your OS also.

You upgraded to PSP 5? Where did you get that from?
PSP9 is most recent.

Maybe boot to safe mode and do a **thorough** scan disk (depending on
your OS) and then reboot back to safe mode and defrag.

| I think the writer was referring to Paint Shop Photo Album 5 which is
strictly off topic, but this is still probably the best place to obtain
good solid help.
If you are using Win XP, have you just installed SP2?

| Thanks for the replies - I know its OT, but I am not getting much joy
out of JASC.
My OS in Win ME.
I was until about a week ago running a downloaded upgrade of Paint
Shop Photo Album 5.
Any further suggestions?

e I am's advice is good. Since PSPA5 worked for a while, the
question is what changed to make it fail. MSADRH15.DLL is a good
candidate, since many programs use it. Did you install any other
software at about the critical time? That might have over-written
it--or another shared DLL that calls it--with an earlier version.
Did you activate any new hardware? Even if you did not, a repair
install of PSPA5 is work trying. If that does not do it, I would
un-install and re-install PSPA5.
If tech support did not suggest these steps, they should have.

Then can the Paint Shop Pro Album 5 and get Photoshop Elements 3!
It has 16 bit editing!!! The nice people at Adobe even merged their
photo organizer in with Elements 3 - like getting 2 for the price of 1!

Thanks for your reply. I have tried both a repair install and
install/uninstall of PSPA5, however, the error message continues to
appear.
