Effect like Circle in PSP7, but elipse ?
|
|
|
| Hi,
I need an effect that does exactly what the standard Effect Geo/Circle
does, but is more user definable.
What I actually need is, I guess, actually an elipse with straight top
and bottom.
Like some of the projected maps of the world.
I have some vertical lines of text I need to make fit an existing
background image that is so shaped. The circle effect is perfect apart
from the actual shape.
If there is such an effect in PSP8 or 9, please tell me, it will be an
good excuse to upgrade...
thanks

There is a Spherize effect in PSP 8 and 9 that can be fitted
to the shape of an image. If the image is not square but
rectangular, the result is elliptical. PSP 8 and 9 also have
a bunch of warp tools that will let you do a range of similar
effects. Think through carefully what you want to do since
stretching more along the horizontal than the vertical will
change the aspect ratio of your text characters - making them
squat and wide - and you might not like that.

I certainly don't like my women squat and wide.
