It is real. Perhaps you chose the "Install now" option on the
download dialog. Check Help > About > Paint Shop Pro > System
Information. In the list of dlls you will see a few marked 9.0.1.1
and a few marked 9.0.2.0 if the patch worked.

*!!%$**!!?

And some of us are still waiting for the *!!%$**!!? International English
upgrade for both PSP 9 and Album 5.

It was suggested by my local supplier on the 24th November that the Int'l
Eng upgrade would be available in a couple of weeks.

It's now the 23rd December, and still nothing.

I can't find the supposed 9.01.1 patch either, Fred. It
doesn't show up in PSP's Check for updates and doesn't
show up on Corel's web site. I'll grant that it's not a
hoax but there must be something causing glitches for at
least some people who can't get it yet.

You can get it here
http://www0.jasc.com/pub/update/en_psp9011_jasc.exe

Make sure you have the 9.01 patch installed, this patch is to update
from 9.01 to 9.01.1.

You don't mean "upgrade". You mean "update".

You chose to believe this source. Jasc (and Corel) never
comment about future product plans.

They are the people who sold me PSP years ago, and have continued to sell
me new versions over the (I guess last 10) years.

Nope! It's not in my nature. ;-)

PS: Considering how much time has lapsed since the US version update,
there are a few of us here in the UK who are now beginning to wonder if
there ever will be an Int'l English "Update".

touou many differences.

Thanks, Ron.

I still can't find the 9.01.1 patch thru the normal web
site support center but I did find out why PSP's Check for
updates didn't work - I'd downloaded but never installed
the 9.01 patch.

Yes that's one of a couple of option we've considered, unfortunately we've
already paid around 50 UKpounds for the upgrade from 8.10 to 9 and I don't
suppose Jasc will throw us an exchange/swap version for free even if we
did return the CD.

Remember this problem applies to Album 5 as well.

Cheers

Since your is such a mood, can you point me to a web site, where I can
download an English version that will work/take, in my PSP 9 as so
far, it won't except the ones offered, and every time I hit the
English drop down, it automatically goes/defaults to Int, so I'm stuck
with 9.00 after once having it work fine, and loosing it?

I couldn't get it to work from the automatic update until I turned the
software firewall off. You could add an exception to allow whatever the
name of the updater is to get through, but for me it was quicker just to
turn it off for a minute. I was still protected against any incoming
nasties by the hardware firewall in the router.

I'd guess that it'll happen quite quickly now that the problems with the
initial US English patch have been sorted out.

This may sound stupid but when ever I go to the JASC web site it recognizes
me as coming from the uk and show's a Union Jack at the top left. I have to
change it to US eng to look for Updates to my US eng psp 9 ( check for
updates is fine) I also have to do that to see the Tutorials as the uk pages
are very different.
So it might be worth checking to see if it thinks your located in an INT
English area

Damn, I have to be Columbo to figure this thing out. Still no answer
to my last questions to jasc on their site, which were acknowledged.
SnowWhite

not a hoax. When I started PSP9.01 last night, the auto update feature began and I downloaded/installed the update. You can't do that directly at the web site. At least, I didn't see anything there at the upgrde page that would indicate it.

Click on HELP and select Check for Updates and watch it fly.

Jasc had rollup problems in PSP-6. So, at least we know where the source
code for PSP-9 came from.
