Author Noise Reduction crasing my comp
ErrolGibbs

Some one responded to my request for directions to

http://jpkabala.com/PDF/DCNR.pdf

I'm able to go to other sites and down load PDF files but this site crashes my
computer every time I touch it.

Can others go there and down load?

Perhaps Kris could repost this or some one direct me to his origenal post on
using the noise reduction filter ( when PSP9 was in Beta ).

Or tell me how to look it up my self.

I don't want to go near Mr. Kabala's site again!

Thanx
Errol

I can download the PDF without problem. Is the filter in PSP8 or is
it an add-on?

It is part of PSP 9, not available for PSP 8. This alone is worth
the upgrade price for anyone who uses a digicam or anyone shooting
high ISO with a DSLR or with film, IMO.

It's Mrs. Kabala actually and I have no problems with the pdf file. Check your acrobatreader and/or your security
settings? Is it an AOL problem? Or the size of the file (2.4MB)?
Maybe Jasc could include it in a future helpsection update?
Anyway, thank you Kris, for making it and JP, for putting it on your site.

Oops so sorry.

I'm able to download many other places no problems.

Anyway trevbowden@dsl.removepipex.com sent it to me in a download.
Thank you so very much.

I've been playing around with it my self and find it very usefull.

And to me PSP9 is a whole nuther animal. I doubt I'll ever use even half of it
but it has already improved my handling of Photo's.

In all my time with PSP (6,7,8) I've not been tempted to switch to PS and I
have access to a bootleg copy.

No I've stuck with PSP (and paid for each upgrade).

And someone has always helped me in this forum when I've asked.

I even read UNI's ranting's

Thanx to everyone here!

It's very easy to get pirated software on the internet. The only thing that's stopping me is my conscious. Also maybe
the fact that warez installs things that shouldn't be on your pc! I have no problem paying for PSP, I have for PS, and
not only financial.

You have a far far greater risk of some corporation installing
spyware on your system from software you buy and own legally than
anything you might ever find on the warez groups. Who do you
think alerted everyone to spyware and malware that the
corporations were (and _still_ are) stealthily installing on
everyone's computers? The warez crowd, that's who. That's who you
have to thank for programs like Ad-Aware, (started as the
free-ware program "Opt Out" written by hackers and crackers).

Guess who sent up the last batch of trojans 2 years ago on the
warez groups? It was traced to members of "The Shareware
Association" (yet again). Willingly paid for by companies that
sell shareware, to scare unaware people like you. Once they are
revealed they back off for another year or two. ISP's are getting
fed up with their recent sporge tactics because they have to set
new filters every day to filter them out. Members of The
Shareware Association are losing access to usenet regularly
because of their underhanded behaviors and sending trojans and
viruses and sporge floods. Members of The Shareware Association
have to get new ISP's often, which accounts for some of the lull
between their attacks on everyone's computers and net use.

When everyone was alerted (by hackers and warez groups) that
ULead had installed some spyware in their 7.0 CD version of
PhotoImpact they removed it from further upgrades. The hackers
released a patch to remove it.

Go look up what Real Player and Real Media is doing to everyone's
computers for the last 5 years, and is still doing. Do a google
search on that one. Watch how many hits you get.

Some corporate invasion of people's computers that I had to clean
were so bad that their 2 to 3 ghz machines were crippled to a
crawl. Where their windows would open or refresh maybe once every
minute or longer. I found a hidden system directory on one
person's computer with 47,000+, 5 gigs of tracking files from
corporate spyware programs. Files, that for some odd reason, I
was unable to be delete no matter what I tried, even after I
removed all the corporate spyware from her system. It will now
take a reformat of her hard-drive to get that space back. So I
quarantined that folder and put share and read/write protections
on it. She's now 5 gigs lighter in hard-drive space thanks to
CORPORATIONS and their damned spyware and invasion of everyone's
privacy. Let us not forget what this all entails: the theft of
everyone's bandwidth, computer use, your electricity, your time
and everything else that you pay for to use a computer. To top it
off I had to use warez and hackers' tools to solve it for her.

Corporate theft of your service that you pay for is big business,
and you have the hackers to thank for trying to stop them. Even
some companies and government agencies are now smart enough to
use the hacked warez versions of software instead of the ones you
buy. Because they know the hackers have stripped the spyware and
trojans out of it. You should do a search on all the police
departments that use the hacked version of a program called
Encase because they won't put up with what that program does in
the retail version. They buy the retail version for the license,
then when it comes time to install it they use the hacked version
that they get off of warez groups.

By far, above and beyond any viruses or anything else I've ever
found on the net, the WORST problems I've had to ever deal with
in fixing people's computers were those trojans, worms, and
spyware that are being installed by companies. From software that
they purchased with all their morality intact.

Software companies and corporations just love people like you. It
means that you'll willingly bend over and let them do anything
that they want to you and your computer, no questions asked.
While you smile about it and say, "See? I paid for this software!
Wasn't I a good person today!"

You have some serious loss of reality going on.

You'll learn, one day, but no doubt the hard way.

Why is it that Jasc-Corel now wants people to turn off their
firewalls so they can get their "convenient" auto-update feature
to work?

Get the drift?

Bend over yet again. Companies and corporations just love
sticking it to people like you.

While you smile about it and feel good that you bought it.

You bought it alright. Lock, stock, & barrel.

Go look up the word "gullible" in a dictionary, it would do you a
world of good.

Opt Out was not written by hackers and crackers. http://grc.com/stevegibson.htm
Ad-Aware did not come from Opt Out. It was a separate product from the beginning. It was sanctioned by Steve Gibson
when he was ready to relinquish Opt Out for his own reasons. Where do you get it that Steve Gibson is a hacker/cracker?
Have you told Steve that he is warez yet? I'm sure he would be interested.

Are the rest of your facts so carefully researched? I didn't bother to read the rest.
