Author Export to DivX from DV-captured source

Hello.

I am using Adobe Premiere Pro (7.0) and have been unable to export good
quality movies using the DivX Pro 5.2.1 CODEC. The resulting files have
blocky artifacts and jerk every now and then. Using the *exact* same
encoder settings with the same source on VirtualDub produces the
expected results. This seems to indicate the problem lies in Premiere,
but I have tried all (or almost all) possible combinations of its extra
export settings.

Has anybody had success in compressing movies with the DivX Pro CODEC
using Adobe Premiere? Any tips and clarifications will be appreciated.

Thank you,
