Changing the default font in Illustrator?
|
|
|
| Is there a setting or preference to change the default font that appears
in the Character tab of the Type window in Illustrator 11 (for Mac)?
The current default, as purchased, is Myriad; I'd like to change it to
Helvetica Neue.

In the application folder look for, open and change the following
Adobe Illustrator Startup_CMYK.ai
Adobe Illustrator Startup_RGB.ai
Open the Character Styles pallet
Type > Character Styles
Double click and open the 'Normal Character Style'
In the selection 'Basic Character Formats' you will see the default
font which is usually Myriad, and be able to select and change to what
you want.
Save the file
