Author help converting to EPS

Hi,
I have copied artwork done in Powerpoint to Adobe Illustrator and am trying to save as an EPS file.

I am getting these warnings:
The Document Raster effects resolution is 72 ppi or less
Only fonts with appropriate permission bits will be embedded

And then:
Can't save the Illustration. Can't print the illustration.

I do have Paste Remembers Layers on (as recomended by another user in the forum for same problem).

Can anyone help me with this? Obviously I am a REAL novice to AI.

Did you convert your text to outlines?

All my text is WordArt which seems to already be curves.
