| CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
MYTHOLOG ( www.mytholog.com ) is rounding out it's fourth year as a
quarterly electronic literary magazine. We publish short fiction,
flash, graphic (illustrated) short fiction, poetry, and non-fiction
dealing with themes that are universal (mythic themes - hence the
name). All genres and cross genre work is considered. Pay rates are in
the guidelines, available at the magazine's site. September 1st is the
submissions deadline for the Autumn issue. From the magazine's "about
us" section:
MYTHOLOG is a quarterly collection of stories and poems, writers and
editors, illustrations and artists, that find myth in places odd and
ordinary. We publish short fiction and poetry. We aren't hardwired to
genre at all. We'll publish things that fall between the cracks and
perhaps stick their claws up to horrify or tantalize us, literature on
the mythskirts of a genre. We're interested in anything that is part of
the modern mythos or part of the construction of myth, from the ancient
and traditional to contemporary culture, whether it be dark, bright,
erotic, mysterious, adventurous, dystopian, folkloric, or fantastic.
We're interested in storytelling and theme. The thread of continuity
for
us is mythic development.
