| Hi all
I want to draw road maps. Is it possible to draw say a yellow road with a
black border.
What tool should I select ?. Will the end points be open (i.e. without
borders) Thanks Garry

you can do wonderful things with duplication of layered, stroked lines.
This will allow for you to have a road with open endpoints.
Simply draw a black line with a wide stroke, copy it, paste in front,
change the new line color to yellow and use a smaller stroke size.

Sorry, but my name's not Mike.
Glad to hear you like the advice though... I'm trying to be more terse
in my explanations, too. Hopefully, everyone can benefit.

I think you might have been confusing "theartist" with "ArtistMike?"

"theartist" pretty much answered your question. I would use the layers
pallet myself. Select the original path, select duplicate [path name].
This places an exact copy above the original. Then the original path
needs to have the widest stroke and the new path, the narrower one
(the centerline).
I am working on vector (.ai) street (road) maps myself. I may already
have what you are wanting. If it is a fairly small extent (coverage
area) or not too many streets/roads, no charge ( for the time being ).
