Adobe Illustrator - Illustrator SDK progress bar

Hello,
I'm writing a plugin for Adobe Illustrator CS2 and I can't make a
progress bar for my tools.
I'm using User Suite function UpdateProgress( long current, long max );

Documentation says "Illustrator waits at least one second before
deciding to put up the progress dialog. The progress dialog will then
be put up if Illustrator thinks that the
plug-in will take more than four seconds to run (based on the change of
current over time"

But, progress bar doesn't appear at all. Please, help.
