Well, rasterizing doesn't actually seem like a good solution. Certainly it
cane be done, but it kind of defeats the purpose of using Illy to begin
with, and the wuality of vector art. I don't have Indy, but one would think
you could choose to append the Indy swatches with the Illy colors and/or
merge swatches that match. I would try to slove that problem and retain
vector.

If you must rasterize I'd use TIFF (w/compression if Indy allows) or PSD. I
think it might be in a different area in CS2 than in my old Illy 9.0.2, but
in Document Setup>Printing & Export make sure Raterization Resolution is
300, and under Transparency move the Quality slider to the highest. Then
under Effects>Rasterize>Raster Effects Settings set resolution to 300 and
make sure to click Antia-Alias ON. When you export again make sure these
setting remain consistent with anti-alias on.

Hopefully someone else with Indy/Illy CS2 can help you with placing native
Illustrator vectors appropriately.

Jack, my best advise is to live with the swatches; just make sure they're
all process as opposed to spot (unless you're printing spot ofcourse). I
wouldn't want to lose the quality of vector graphics (and increase file
size) over a messy swatch palette. Delete unused swatches at the end.

You should see my Color List in Quark for this 11X17 doorhanger I do each
month. It's a monster because the client wants lots and lots of different
colors used in the ads. My last one had 45 colors; and it used to be much
worse when it was 2-sided.
