| I'm using Illy 9.0.2 on OS 9.2.2. For a current project I'm saving several
EPS files for later import into Quark. I need to keep text live and editable
in Illy, so I'm not outlining. Now, I'm worried that on some files I may not
have ticked the box for embedding fonts. Is there an easy way to get Illy to
default to embed fonts? I feel compelled to reopen/resave all the files I've
done to make sure they're saved with fonts embedded. It worries me. Is there
an easy way to batch check them?

No way I know of to batch check, except to close the fonts and see if AI tells
you they are missing when you re-open the original file. But if you saved the
first file with fonts embedded, and didn't un-check that option in future saves,
the rest should be the same, as the Illy save dialog remembers the last option
used. So, yes, that's the easy way to get the default.
You say 'several files'... Sounds like the best way would be to go back and
re-save, if it's only several. If you're using the same machine for the Quark
files, you can always tab over to AI and change one on the fly if needed.
Sounds like you worry too much. ;^)

This is the problem though, it's not remembering so I have to. It's coming
up unchecked each and every time.
