Help: Gradient on screen does not match printout

| As Freehand 11 and Adobe are quite similar, I thought that I'd come
here and get a quicker response. My question isn't really about the
software. Rather, it is the problem I mentioned in the subject.
When creating a gradient fill for a line art created from text (I did a
convert to path), I managed to get a very nice result on the screen.
However, when printing on a Canon Ink Jet printer, the gradient
apparently disappear. What am I missing? It would've been one thing
if the line art was for the Net or other screen related medium.
However, it is for a logo that is to be printed as needed.
Any ideas?
Sincerely,
Barry Brindisi

That is weird. It could be your gradient needs a Postscript printer, but
I never encountered that with gradients.
Try making a PDF (preferably PDF/X1 or PDF/x-3) and see what happens.
