| Illustrator 10 had an output resolution in document setup I believe.
it was generic at 800, I always bumped it to 1200
I'm using CS now, where is it and what's a good setiing for a vector
being blown up to a hot air balloon ( x-tra large graphic)

The standard setting at 800 should be good.
You might want to increase your raster effects to 600, or even 1200.

I always wondered what that was about. Do not care. Vector will always
be OK.

I always though since it was vector it was o.k
but recently there was an issue with a printer and he suggested
boosting the output to 1200.
I don't think it's resolution , it's something to do with path output
maybe... in illos 10 document setup I believe

I really would not know what resolution has to do with vector images. I
mean: make a piece of vector art, gradients and all, blow it up 1000%
and nothing will be lost.........unless you rasterize stuff.
