Hi,
I just starting out with Illustrator and I am trying understand shapes.

How is a shape different from a closed path with a fill?

If and the 'Ellipse Tool (L)' is used to create an ellipse, is that
ellipse a shape?

How does the 'Shape' that is created by using the menu
'Effect>Convert To Shape>Ellipse' compare to the ellipse created by
the 'Ellipse Tool (L)'?
