| Hi all,
is there a way to make sure that the fonts saved in an eps file made in
Illustrator are of the type 1?
Here is my problem. Most of the time, I use illustrator for my
schematics that I later save in eps format in order to include them in
LateX. Everybody knows that Illustrator creates big eps files, bigger
than what could be expected. there is a famous tool that can clean
those illustrator eps files, called ps2ps or eps2eps. The problem is
that this tool apparently (I have to check that) rasterize non type 1
fonts and do not rasterize type 1 fonts. So far, when I use the eps2eps
tool on my Illustrator eps figures, if there is no text in the file
everything is fine but there is text, the fonts are rasterized (all the
other elements like splines, strokes are fine). That is why I am
asking..
Tahnk you,

In CS2 you can use Find Font from the Type menu.
(Don't now how many versions that this goes back, but v9.0 does this
as well)
In the"Include in list" deselect all but the "True Type" check box
Any True Type fonts will be listed in the "Fonts in Document" window.
Change the selections as needed.
Sometimes I just copy my file and create outlines of all fonts in the
copy.

Forgot to mention that you can also see the font icons in the "Fonts
in Document" window
