how to create a radial scribble effect

| hello all,
im trying to create a radial scribble effect (relative to a path), see
image:

i tried warping but it doesnt work out well.
anyone got any ideas/suggestions?

Why not just use the pencil tool and scribble with it? Use a stroke with
round corner and end points. Adjust the pencil settings to the
precision/smoothness you want and scribble on;)

| Many ways of doing this to be able to reproduce it later.
Could be done with two shapes. Start with a flower looking shape like a
big " * ". To reproduce the blue line effect over and over, apply a
little roughen effect then apply a pucker and bloat effect to the *
shape, all while keeping the blue object selected. When you're done, you
can use it as a style
