Author filling number shape with text

Hi ... this newsgroup had helped me earlier with the same problem and
unfortunately I misplaced the answer. Basically what I want to do is this
.... make a large "0" (zero) and then paste names into it from an excel
spreadsheet. I have misplaced teh direction sand would appreciate any help!

Here's the last I found:

Excel-> Export to Word


Word-> Table to Text, Tab Delimited.
Word-> Find & replace: ^t to ' ' (tab to space, no quotes :)
Word-> Find & replace: ^p to ' '{bullet}' '
(replace string is 'space-Bullet-space, curse non ASCII characters!)

Set typeface etc. to taste, and do the Illustrator import thing.

thanks inez,

yes i had just googled it and found all of the old threads. The replys by
Donster were exactly what I was looking for. This time I printed it out and
locked the answer in a vault ; )

(now if only I could remember the combination to the vault)
