Hello,

How do I create a transparent line so that I can see through it? I have
to place this line on top of an image. The image is on top of another
background image. I want the background behind the image to be able see
through this line. I appreciate your help.

Regards,

Santosh

Let me try.

You have:

1. A background image (A)
2. An image on top of that (B)
3. A line.

First: convert the line to a path (Object >> Path >> Outline Stroke)

The select the pathed line and image A. Hit Object >>
Clipping mask >> Make. The result is you will see Image A
thorugh the line in Image B.

So you could be done, unless you want the other parts of
image A to be seen also (because it is larger or whatever),
it disappeared did it not. In that case you need to replace
image A again and position it where it belongs and send it
backwards to the bottom.
