Author Anybody have any samples, examples, links to, for billing invoices

I am not a fulltime designer and do not get to send nearly as many
invoices as I would like to.

I do have a simple one that I have designed and am using but I am not
particularly happy with it.

I am really just looking for some good examples/samples. I intend to
create a new one from scratch using any good ideas that I can come up
with.

I have googled and searched the web not found anything satisfactory
yet.

Raster images will be welcome, uploaded or emailed (just remove the no
spam from <jbl02no@spamhotmail.com>

(I am not interested in any links to sites that have these for sale,
although I fully expect to get at least one, but other than that one)

thanks
jbl

I used EXCEL, I hated the templates. Someone showed me how to make the math
part work (formulas)
then you just margin out one page, put a graphic you made in another program
like Photoshop for the header and footer, assign formulas to the columns and
save as template, that's it.

Or you can use tables in MS Word.

Invoices I make in our database software, Filemaker to be exact.

But I was always very satisfied in the old days to make a basic
page-layout in Pagemaker and fill it in at every regular page. That way
I had all my invoices together in one file. If you number them logically
it is also easy to find one back.

In a copy of the file I noted down when they were payed, if I sent a
reminder, if there were problems, etcetera. In that way I kept my
original invoices intact.
Of course nowadays I would use InDesign for such a thing.
