Author New Illustrator-like symmetry design tool

Hello. I'm producing a symmetry design tool called Honeycomb and you
can try it now at www.geocities.com/roninabox/Honeycomb.html. It's an
applet: you don't have to download and install anything. Basically, you
have grids, and a grid can be in any one of many different symmetry
types. You can put a grid into a grid for multiple symmetries. It
borrows from the Adobe interfaces and tools: there are bezier, pencil,
rectangle, and oval pens. I'd like some feedback so let me know what
you think and if this tool might be something you'd use in your
professional or academic environment.

Thanks,
Ron

There was an Applet Error, so it closed.

I have no idea how that is to be used but it's fun to play with

Can you open the Java Console under Tools (if you're using Explorer)
and tell me what it says?

Try it again now. I think I may have resolved the issue.

Yes, its fun and fast. But with no options to save the result, or to export
it, I fail to see its practical use.

Could you enlighten the masses on its purpose, please?

Oh, it's not finished. I was just posting it to see what kind of
feedback I'd get on what I have. I assume that textile designers might
get use out of it. Of course, it'd be a great program to use in a class
on symmetry. Besides, even if I did implement a save option, your
browser wouldn't let you use it because of security restrictions that
applets have.

I bailed out of the page after several pages tried to popup.

I thought it was great! My wife's an art teacher, I'm sure she'll like it.
My only comment was that the Text tool didn't work right--no place to type
the text and no OK or Close buttons so that I had to close the whole window
and reload the applet. Using XP Home, if that's any help.
