Author how to define margins in Illustrator?

Hi group,

I have this problem with printing preferences for the document in
Illustrator. It seems my HP LaserJet 1100 can't print the top margin if it's
set up as 0px, and I need that because I have ready paper template (already
printed) that I want to print the document's content on. Everything else
goes fine, but this little "x" I need at the top of the document is not
printed.

If anyone knows how to solve this problem with the top margin in
Illustrator, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds to me like a printer issue, not Illustrator. Not all printers can
print borderless. Check your printer manual.

Alex is right. I do not know of a Laserprinter which prints borderless.
If it is A4 or Letter size for instance: use A3, larger
paper and add trim marks.

oh?

I was fealing so dumb giving you this answer. I suddenly,
yet too late, realized you told us humans this:

".......because I have ready paper template (already
printed) that I want to print the document's content on."

But I am glad you solved it all:)
