Author filling a shape formed by open paths

An example, four or 5 individual open street paths form the boundry of
the shape of a irregularly shaped park. Without manually clicking the
end of each open path and connecting it to the next to form a closed
path

is there a simple way to create the shape of the park so you can fill
it?

If it were a one time deal I would just manually join the paths with
the pen tool then fill with a color.

thanks,
