| Anyone have a brick filter they are willing to share. I'd like to create a
wall an apply the filter to it.
The result would look like a brick wall or wall of a house.

| Since I want to produce a vector and not a bitmap seems this is the right
place particularly since there are differences between illustrator and
photoshop. I'll try the photoshop site.
Ultimately I want to produce a svg filter that I can be apply to shapes.

| There is a basic brick looking fill on the Illustrator cd under the
lithologic section. If you want a 'real'
brick effect you could get a photo of a brick wall and use it with the
texture filter.

| Create your own and turn it into a fill.
Look through the Litho swatches and some of the other sections and find one
that's close to what you want.
Pull it off the palette onto the artboard.
It's now an editable vector object. Ungroup, change colors, add some texture as
additional fills, changing transparency, and then drag the finished one onto
the swatch palette.
I always have to play around with the stuff on the sides to get it to fit
together right in the final object.
Tweak the colors by adding color fills in the Appearance palette and changing
their transparency to get the effect you want. Also add textures with different
transparencies.
Or create a couple of bricks, use textures and gradients as added fills to get
them looking right, then group and drag onto the Swatch palette.
