Author Exporting from Illustrator

I'm finding it funny how if I were to export work from Illustrator to say a
jpg format, the image become blurry and not as sharp as the original. Is
there a way to correct this? I've tried exporting with higher dpi, but still
the same result. I've made sure that linked images are present.

How much are you compressing the jpg file?

Maybe too much?

the reason it does it.. is because when your are working with AI.. you are working with vectors (which are nice clean cuts).. and if you export it (as a jpg for example) you transform the vectors to bitmap... pixel..

save it to the best quality you can.. try the save for web option instead of export.. ( save it as gif or png format )..

I'm selecting maximum, least amount of compression and the imported jpgs are
still blurry.

Have a sample you could share? Your placing raster images 'in' Illustrator
and their blurry?
