Hi,

I'd like to plot/draw a sinusoid (a waveform) in illustrator. But I do not know how to do this.
Does anyone know how I can plot the sinusoid?

Does it have to really be a sinusoid, or just look like one?

If it only has to look like one, applying the zigzag effect to a
straight line with round corners looks pretty good.

If it has to really be one, then you can use the graph tool. You'll
probably want to find some way to output the coordinates you want from
some other program, and then import them as graph data.

Here is a PostScript program, openable in Illustrator, which plots a
sine function very accurately:
