Author Jogging Shoe Shape/Brush/Font?

I am working on a theme set for a local 10k run/walk.... I cannot seem to find a good graphic for a contemporary looking running
shoe.... Tried dingbat pages, tried Adobe Xchange, and tried my normal clipart resources. Can anyone point me in the right
direction to find a good jogging shoe graphic that can somehow be converted to vector?

TIA!

Assuming you're a jogger, scan the bottom of your favorite shoe and use
threshold to convert it to b/w. Then use select color range on the black
area. Finally convert selection to a path. This will work best if you scan
at a pretty high resolution (ie: 600ppi or higher).

After you scan and use threshold, Illustrator or Streamline might do a
better job at vector conversion.

Illustrator has some nice graphics of runners as brushes. Just pull them off
the brush palette onto the artboard to get the figures.
Have you tried
http://www.istockphoto.com
Search illustrations.
Also check Word clipart/Microsoft clipart. Anything in wmf format is vector and
can be opened or copied and pasted in AI.

I've got a couple in ai format (which are vector) and which I use on local
jogging posters here. I'll send them to you - but I need an address. We
don't attach to this ng do we?

Take a digital camera (if you have one) into a shoe store and shoot some
pics. You can also go to Google and search, but click the Images tab.
