Author Can not save Illustrator file as EPS

Hi,

I have made an illustrator document in AI 10 (running on WIN98) and I can't
save the file as EPS. I tried saving as AI 10, 9 and 8 but after the second
options window I get a "Can't save the illustration" message. I also tried
Save Copy As and saving to other disks but no improvement there.

Can anybody help?

So you tried saving as different illy versions after attempting to save
as eps, is that correct? Or do you mean
you tried saving as eps versions 8,9 and 10? Does this happen with any
other files?

Is that the whole message or is there anything else with it?

The document could be corrupt so try selecting everything and pasting
into a new document, just remember
to check everything is visible and unlocked before you try 'select all'.
Also tick the 'paste remembers layers'
option in the layers palette before you paste into the new document
(this can be found by clicking on the
arrow in the top right of the palette).

That did the trick! Thanks!!! Stupid that I didn't think off that, It is an
old trick to save corrupted Quark docs this way. Never had a corrupt
Illustrator doc.
Thanks anyway!
