I have to place some illu graphics into another illugraphic (a lot
actually), I want to make the graphic I place follow some slanted lines
in my original graphic in different degrees.

I use my measure tool to measure the degree, and then I rotate my
graphic. Does a smarter way exist? Can I do this in one operation, or
can I make the rotation tool remember the degree - like in PhotoShop?

Ctrl+D (Win) repeats the last transform command.

Thanks but "Transform again" will not do an action done by the measure
tool - perhaps it is considered not to be an action but just - a
measurement... :-)

After all I think there is no smarter way. I have to read the numbers in
the info palette and manually enter them in my transform palette.

I just wanted to do a boring job as quick as possible.

The Rotate dialog (you can get it by Object->Transform->Rotate, or by
double-clicking the rotate tool icon, or by option-clicking with the
tool on the artboard) should come up with the last rotation entered into
it.

You can also set smart guides to the angle you want through the
Preferences dialog if you'd rather rotate the items by hand.

If you have a lot of things to rotate, you can define an action that
rotates the selection by that amount and assign it to a function key.
Then just select and hit the function key.

Yes thanks, in this case I need different rotation degrees for every
graphic.

I am not very familiar with the use of smart guides. If I get it right
they are only "helpfor for the eye". I must check out these
possibilities. In my situation I couldn't use actions because the degree
varies all the time. If I use the hand/eye/mouse I get pains in my hand
:-) - so I kept on using the measure tool to measure the degree and then
write it in the transform - rotoate window.

Thanks for suggestions, I will check out the possibilities of smart
guides.

If I rotate one object, lets assume 10 degrees. And I click
another object, the 10 degrees are still there.

Obviously that is correct but I think he has different angles for each
graphic, so he is hoping to have
it automatically rotate to the different angles.
