| I have an image in illustrator from which I'd like to change the color.
If I change the color into the one I wish, the color is different when I
paste it in photoshop. How can I obtain the right color?
I fill the object using the paint bucket tool. Also, some other parts are
filled, which shouldn't. How to prevent this?
Thanks!

Firstly you need to have your colour profiles set up properly, but there
can still be a slight difference between the programs when they are.
Are the images going to be printed or used on the web? Which colour mode
are you using, RGB or CMYK? Also when you state a different colour, do
you mean a slight difference in the shade or a completely different colour?
For your second point there are two ways to fill objects, one is the
paint bucket and the other is by selecting the object and using the
swatches palette and the colour palette. By using the second method you
can alter both the fill and stoke colours.
By other parts do you mean other objects? Sounds like you may have the
main object grouped with the others. When you select the object do the
other objects get selected as well, if so then you will need to ungroup
them by using the command in the object menu.

Also: you can only correctly fill objects when they are
closed, closed paths. Maybe Inge has connecting paths?
It is better to use the swatches Inge, and maybe you should
update your swatches (search on adobe.com).

I was going to mention that but her explanation didn't seem to fit the
scenario, that is why I asked her to explain before possibly confusing
her with closed/open paths.

| Thank you all for your help! I really appreciate it.
Finally, it turned out well, I saved the picture in illustrator and then I
opened it in photoshop. This way, the colours were ok.
ThanX!

Inge, do us a favor....please use meaningful subjects
"urgent please" is not significant.
Imagine, everyone would use subjects like you do in this Newsgroup...
- Help
- Urgent
- Problem
- Help !!!
- Not working
- Please, please... HELP!!!
- Problem
- Help... problem
- hmmmm...
- Can anyone help me
- Illustrator problem
- I hate Illustrator, help!
etc...
hehe, sorry for my sarcasm ;-)
Thanks!
P.S.: Why do girls write subjects like: "please, please...HELP!!!" or
"Problem" or "urgent please" ??? Some Guys also do it ;-)
