I am looking for the name of a javacript function whereby the url will
redirect you to a form and the optional parts in the url e.g:

http://www.site.com/option1

will take you to the url www.site.com to a prefilled form with the value
of option1 in one of the form values?

sorry if my problem is not clearly explained newbie

From what I understand of your question, you would be much better off
using PHP rather than javascript for such an application.
