Author Unlocking a Domain With Verizon

Hi:

The company I work for has a domain setup with Verizon and the domain
is locked.

Does anybody know how to unlock the domain so that we can transfer the
domain? The person that worked here before evidently lost the
paperwork.

Thanks in advanced for any response.

Howdy,

My sympathy! They are too big and very difficult to work with. I rescue
sites from folks like this quite often.

https://secure.onlineaccess.net/iyd...ookup.php?IYD=1 is a handy spot to
look up domain records.

If the E-Mail addresses on the domain registration are no longer functional,
you'll probably need to start making phone calls until you reach someone at
Verizon who will help. They will need some kind of proof that you own the
domain name.

If the E-Mail still works, find the "I forgot my password" link and they
should return how to log in. After logging in, you should find where to
turn off the domain lock.
