| hello all, how do i turn auto updating in cs3..i'm stuck on dialup and would
prefer to control when cs3 connects to the update server..I couldn't find
anything in preferences.

Initially I would leave them on, a couple of them have been very useful
ie ACR4.1. and colour.
You can download them when your connection is idle which you should do
for the present. About 70Mb of them.
OK - You go to updates then start then cancel and another window comes
up with three options. third one is - stop downloading and cancel all
updates.
Just a note for some reason if you download the updates from the Adobe
site, not using the updater, you can still update your software but the
updater does not recognise these updates and still wants to download
them again.
