Searching Stock photos

| I've been asked to create a website for a spa/wellness center. Now I am
looking for a dozen or so related photos. I've spent quite some time
browsing a couple of stock photo sites, and discovered how hard it is to
find what I want. Most collections seem randomly organized.
Like most fields of expertise I expect this is hard for a newbie and easy
as pie for routiniers.
I bet quite a few people frequenting this ng have had their own experience
finding suitable (stock) photos for their projects/customers.
Can anyone recommend sites that are easy to browse enabling one to get to
the on-topic goods in a straightforward manner without having to spend
hours and hours leafing through thumbnail pages? Perhaps a good technique
on how to best approach this?
Thanks for your kind help in advance.
Sh.

Hi Sh.,
I like these two - because they're free.
http://www.sxc.hu/home
http://morguefile.com/archive/?MORG...pnik4pngi07drm2
But if you are willing to pay then
shutterstock.com
istockphoto.com
are popular but I have not tried them.
Good luck,
Ron

Thanks for the links Ron, didn't know there were free ones available. I'll
have a look. In the end for this site it's not a big deal if I have to
shell out some cash, customer's willing to pay for them. But he'll of
course like to hear there might be freebees. And a happy customer is a
returning one, which makes me a happy camper as well.
Thanks again!
PS I finally found out how to narrow selection in istockphotos. Just
missed the search thingy I guess, or thought it wasn't what I was looking
for.

Hi, Schraalhans,
The thing with the freebie sites is that at first they look great but
once you start trying to use the photos you begin to notice little
things, usually compositional, like the eyes pointing in slightly the
wrong direction or a shadow or merge. Usually they are pretty good
technically though. Sometimes I go to shutterstock.com and dream about
having access to their excellent photos and images. Shutterstock has a
lot of vectors too.
Good luck with your project,
Ron

I love this one: http://stockxpert.com/
The images range from $1 to $10 and they have a great selection (photos
as well as some vectors).
