I want to make a photo look old.
The sepia (or B&W) look is not the problem. I just need a way to add
scratches etc.
Perhaps a plug-in?

A free action from Adobe exchange!!
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchan...1036911&catid=0

There are a few others on there to try too, you need to register now though!
but well worth it! Lots of free actions, brushes etc.,

same cheese but free
none of those look like an old still picture
they are based on a scratched movie

old photo will show some fading (uneven) maybe a stain or two, torn paper or
not, some silvering in the areas the fixer died?

not crazy about re-design of the Adobe exchange, guess they have to be all
rah-rah for flash sites now they own it
It is not easier to navigate than the old one
I liked to keep my search open and use open in new window to look
you cannot even use back to get back to your search?? and no right click

but so many wonderful ideas shared freely
it's a great resource and worth the effort to search for things you might
need
and get inspiration from others good ideas

saw lot of good brushes for adding grunge
actions for torn or distressed borders
aged photo etc

you most likely need a combination of border, color, and distress texturing
added by brush or filter or both

Thanks KatWoman
I totally agree - was surprised to see the new Adobe Exchange site (didn't
know they had changed it) - not at all user-friendly compared to the
previous version.

Put it in the dryed on tumble for a while.
It will look old and scratched once it's been in there for 30 minutes.

Just kidding :)

Stupid answer. If he wants to scratch his car and he is asking for a tool to
do so, who are you to tell him not to do so...
For your piece of mind: if one could bleach the paint of his/her car
temporarily (Ctrl-Z) then insurance companies would go bankrupt...
