Author Snow and/or cross-contry ski-tracks?

I'm in the need of drawing some believable cross-country ski-tracks --
as seen from
above (or slightly from the side). Does anyone know how to make good-
looking
snow -- and (ski-)tracks in them? I would greatlly appriciate if
anybody could point me
to a tutorial -- or perhaps make a few suggestions...

Hi Koppe,
This would depend a lot on perspective. A person's view of tracks
walking behind a skier would take a very different approach than track
viewed from a lift or a helicopter. Can you provide a picture to look
at?

Thanks,
Ron
