Author Shifting RGB layers seperately

I have some images that were apparently scanned using an out
of alignment scanner. So, the reds are shifted maybe two pixels
to the left and the blues 1 to the right.

If there a straightforward way in PS to seperate the RGB pixels
into seperate layers and manually adjust them til they line up?
Sub-pixel accuracy is not required. Thanks!

they are conveniently separated already in the CHANNELS palette
You should be able to shift each channel using the move tool
for subtle adjusting use the arrow keys
make sure you are not in indexed mode
you need an image in RGB, or CMYK mode
