I want to do a VERY simple animation of a remote control beam travelling to
a television.

I have been told animation is easy to learn in Imageready. I am learning
from square one, so can anyone recommend a tutorial site that instructs
animation for the newbie?

Thank in advance

It's very easy, make your animation on layer in photoshop the pass it to
imageready and use the animation pallet.
