How did they do that??? Depth of field trick?

| Whilst hunting for something unrelated, I came across a flash banner
with the coolest depth of field transformation I've ever seen.
It starts with a still of several people (heads only) each one standing
to the side and a little back from the next. All the faces are initially
out of focus, then the animation begins. First the person nearest the
front gains focus, then the second, then the third. Meanwhile there's
various bits of text flying in.
I suppose all it is, is 4 frames of the same picture, where each frame
has had a depth of field mask placed in a different area.
Still cool though.
Oh and BTW - the link is commercial - no I'm not a spammer. I'll just

How easy is this to do?

| How easy is this to do?

One way is to take a sharp photo and use the Blur Filters in PS to blur
whichever faces you want out of focus. Not all that difficult.
