Hi,

I try to make an icon with a circle but found not so easy. The circle
is full of steps :( I found there are some "icons" with perfect smooth
circles made by others. For example, the "icon" for Microsoft Outlook
(32x32 or 16x16) that with smooth circles. However, I could not get
those icons and put them into some icon maker to look their details.
Anyway, can you tell me how to make an icon of 32x32 or 16x16, with a
smooth circle.
Thank you in advance.

Try drawing the circle on a larger canvas, at a [much] larger size, and
then re-sample it (Image > Image Size) to reduce the image size to 32x32
or 16x16 and click Resample to actually throw away pixels - try bicubic
smoother for the interpolation technique. You'll end up with a smaller,
anti-aliased circle.
