| I've this week just gotten CS2 and an R1800. I'll be setting them up
for the first time on an iMac. I'm new to Photoshop and have been
reading on basic color management but haven't got the hardware of that
yet.
Is there a tutorial(s) on the web about the basics of setting up
Photoshop with a printer? I have read that one should let Photoshop do
it rather than the printer but had to return the book to ILL.

| the best advice i can give you is to put the printer back in the box, take it back to wherever you bought it and try to get your money back. i have had the same printer for about a year and i absolutely hate it!!! it is not consistent with color and has done nothing but give me headaches. prior to the r1800 i had the 2200 (or 2100 in the U.K.) and was so happy with that printer, every print came out spot on the first time.
