| After a minor glitz with my registry, I got the following message when
opening Photoshop CS2 on my PC: just after "Building Twain Menu Items" comes
up on the opening screen it stops and says it can't find the resource file
"USBTW*.LRC". Neither can I and Goggle is stumped too. I did a repair of
CS2, I didn't want to uninstall it and reinstall it unless absolutely
necessary since I am an extremely lazy person. Anyone have any ideas??

Do you have a HP scanner attached? Looks like it could be the problem:

BTW - I found this from a Google search :-)

| Yes, actually I do have an HP scanner installed and I also have an Intel
webcam that stopped working at the same time. When I plug the webcam in,
the system freezes so I packed the webcam away. There is still a file for
Intel in Windows>Twain32. Should I delete that file, or delete both files
and re-install? By the way, my Google search for usbtw*.lrc did not yield
the page you mentioned, sometimes its a matter of know what to ask for,
thanks for the link.

Sounds like you might have a double entry in your registry as the error
seems too indicate that two devices may be tring to access the twain
driver.
Can you use system restore?
or safe mode clean up?
Registry repair software?
