| Hi there,
|
| PhotoShop C2
|
| How can I add this effect to an image?
|
| http://www.dprmodels.com/airtechplane.htm (the bottom image)
|
| Regards,
| Deon
With the understanding that I'm a complete amateur at PS: I'd mask the
trailing edges of the wings and the area behind them and then use FILTER |
BLUR | MOTION BLUR and choose an appropriate angle and distance. Probably
need to smooth the results afterwards.

plane on layer un lock layer dupe layer
blur button layer using MOTION BLUR (you had the ruby slippers all the time)
move bottom layer with MOVE tool

| Hi again.
Maybe I did not use the correct wording ...
The blur must have a specific direction, ie from left to right or
something like that. The motion blur from PhotoShop only does a blur
without a specific direction; it is as if you take a picture with slow
shutter speed of a car passing you.

Deon

Photoshop's motion blur has a direction parameter. You turn the wheel
thingy in the dialog using the mouse.

|
| Ok, I will do so and let you know.

You must be looking at the wrong thing.
Motion blur does allow a specific direction (angle). Take the filter and
look. It also has a distance adjustment.
