Hello,

I made a transparent gif, removing the background of my image. But when I
insert it into a web page with a colored background, I can see some white
(very ugly) :

Anybody knows how I can get rid of this ugly white ?

Thanks !

Olivier

When saving a transparent GIF you need to select the intended background (or
averaged color for a patterned background) as the Matte color in the
settings.

check out my thread "png vs jpeg". even though you're using gif,
there's a lot of information that might be useful to you there.

When you use the the Save for Web command, look closely at the dialog.
Most people overlook the "Matte" control. You use the Matte control to
tell Photoshop the background color of your Web site.
