Hi,

Can any one please let me know how the color seperation can be done.
Any formula. Please let me know.

I also would like to know how to extract a particular color from the
color Image. Example: if i want to extract a gray color from the color
image.

please let me know any algorithm present or formula given any where.

Thanks in advance for this help.

LOOK AT CMYK separations are done in CMYK (a color space for print) not RGB
(a color space for monitors)
to sample a color use the eyedropper, look at the info palette

I see no one has answered you, so maybe my poor attempt will atleast get the
ball rolling.

I don't know what you mean by RGB coloe separation because I think of
separations on in print terms, for separate plates. These don't use RGB
though.

I also don't work in or know algorythms or formulas. You can, however, go
into the channels palette and select Split Channels from the flyout menu.
This will split/open your image as 3 grey representations, one for each
color. You can also merge them back together again from the same menu.

As for "extracting" a color; if you mean sampling/identifying a color you
can use the eyedropper tool, click on the color, view it's properties in the
Color palette, or drop it into your swatches to use elsewhere.

I doubt any of this helps though. You probably work with numbers and your
brain; I only work with my eyes and hands;)
